I think this quote is a metaphor for my entire experience at the Bologna Book Fair. And I mean that in a good way.
Full disclosure: On the hotel shuttle ride to the convention center this morning, I sat next to two Italians. They spoke rapidly the entire time. The Sourcebooks Fire Launch Party isn't the only amazing YA-related event scheduled for the week of March 15. Thanks to David Levithan (Natalie Standiford refers to him as the Maxwell Perkins of YA; I prefer the Michael Lang/Bill Graham/Dr. Dre-of-YA analogy...in any case, we all owe him a debt of gratitude), there is a series of extraordinary readings and signings and panels every single day that week.
