TeenFire Trailer Contest
TeenFire Trailer Contest: Our authors need your help! Create trailers for any Sourcebooks Fire titles and enter to win five Sourcebooks Fire books of your choosing for you and your library. Since many of our YA books aren’t out yet, we’ve uploaded a few chapters of each title which can be read on each book group page.
Create a book trailer (3 mins MAX) and upload it to the TeenFire video archive. As submissions come in, they’ll also be posted in our TeenFire Web Portal, prominently displayed on our front page. Featured videos will be picked at random, and we will continue to feature one teen video through March 19th (assuming we have enough contestants!) How To Post A Video.docx
Once your videos are done, please upload them to the TeenFire video archive (instructions below) and post a link to the video below. Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

- Internet Archive
Internet Archive is building a digital library of Internet sites, moving images, text, audio, and live music in digital form. Many of the resources on the site are available to download and use. - Creative Commons Search
Creative Commons is a nonprofit group working to make it easier for people to share creative work and build on the works of others, while still following copyright rules. There are a number of different licenses, so read this page before you start downloading.
Sound
- Free Music Archive
The Free Music Archive offers free downloads under Creative Commons and other licenses. Before you use a track, visit the track page to discover what you can and cannot do with it. - CC Mixter
CC Mixter is a community music remixing site featuring remixes and samples with Creative Commons licenses. Be sure to read the permissions before using a track. - The Free Sound Project
Unlike CC Mixter, which focuses on providing songs for use, the Free Sound Project works to provide sounds and audio snippets to users. It’s a great resource for sound effects like creeky doors or animal noises.
Images
- American Memory Project
The Library of Congress’s American Memory Project provides digital copies of photos (as well as other media) to serve the public as a resource for education and learning. Many of the images are in the public domain. Each image has a link to a rights and permissions page, so read up before you download. - The New York Public Library Digital Gallery
The Digitial Gallery provides over 700,000 images digitized from the NYPL collections. Materials downloaded from the New Your Public Library Digital Gallery may be used personal, educational, or research purposes; they may not be used for commercial purposes. - University of Texas at Austin Portrait Gellery
This site features a selection of portraits of historical figures from the Perry-Castañeda Library at the University of Texas at Austin. The images in this collection are in the public domain. You do not need to ask for permission to use these images. - U.S. Government Photos and Images
This page contains a collection of links to government agencies with digitized photo collections. From Grand Canyon Nation Park to the National Institute of Health, this extensive list is worth browsing. Note the disclaimer at the top: most images are in the public domain, but some have special licenses. - Flickr: Creative Commons Search
Flickr has teamed with Creative Commons to provide a search engine that combs Flickr for images you can use. The same rules apply as with other Creative Commons searches, check the license and attribute where necessary.

- Move Maker – Free with Windows XP
- Photo Story – Free download for Windows XP **Highly recommended for low-tech trailer options***
- PowerPoint – If you have PowerPoint, you can create a show and use SlideShare to upload and share it.
- YouTube – You can’t create videos using YouTube, but they offer great production tips.
