Dream Up Your Own Summer Romance Title!

When it comes to titling a novel, most writers go through dozens of options and ideas before landing on that perfect name.

But for debut YA novelist, Amanda Howells, the title The Summer of Skinny Dipping (June 2010) came to her before the story did! One day she just woke up with the title in her head and then the story followed!

"...And Then We Kissed." I decided on this title because it starts where many books end, and I think it sets up for heartbreak.
Amanda Ford: I really like this. Write the book.
Sourcebooks, listen up--you want to have first option on Amanda Ford. :)

"That's all it took..." I chose this title because it's mysterious and there are so many ways that the story could go. It also has a hint of sadness in it which I like.
TITLE: Fresh Cut Grass
When I read the contest, that's the very first one that popped into my head. Nothing says summer like the smell of freshly cut lawns. And I think just about every young love spends time in the grass.

swimming & campfires

Because that seems the place to where kisses happen either at a beach or late night with a campfire.
"Sunkissed" - it gives out the summer romance feel of warmth and bliss.
Ooh, good one!

Does Suntan Oil Tarnish Armor?
I chose this because it sounds quirky and fun and something I would like to read.

Summer In The Sun

I Really Always Have This One Blinking Around In My Head.. LOL!
Beach Runners - it is a name that draws you in. Who are the beach runners? Is it a book about life guards? Maybe...
Don't Be Such a Beach! Summer romance usually involves some sand and some questionable behavior----this title embraces both ideas.
"Three Months of Us" Summer is three months right? So. that got me the first half of the title. Now...it's romance, so...us?
